Talʻat al-Dawlah, daughter of Nadim al-Saltanah and wife of Haji ʻAliriza Khan, talks about the hardships she faced after her husband's death. She describes how agents looted her house and seized fifty thousand tumans worth of property that Haji ʻAliriza Khan had transferred to their daughter, Muhtaram, before passing away. Also, her husband's nephew sent a telegram to Tehran claiming his share of these belongings. Petition of a Jewish man, 1911
Petition of a Jewish man who writes to the Majlis that he was supposed to marry a Jewish girl and had given her father, Sulayman, 200 tumans. However, Sulayman and his family converted to Islam, as a result of which the marriage was cancelled. Sulayman has now declared that the wrtier must convert to Islam (which he is unwilling to do) before he will return the man's money.
